A HANK SAUER from the 1954 RED HEART DOG FOOD set, card #NNO. This is a great addition to any CHICAGO CUBS collection. Graded by Mint Condition: 1 This card exhibits severe physical distress, including a significant tear at the top edge, heavy creasing, and ink marks on the reverse. While the centering is respectable for the era, the structural damage and surface defects place it in the lowest condition tier. Centering: 9 / 10 The front displays a moderate shift toward the right and bottom edges. Corners: 1 / 10 Front: The Top Right corner features a significant tear and structural fold. The Bottom Right corner shows heavy peeling and paper loss, while the remaining corners are severely rounded. Back: The back corners mirror the severe damage on the front, with the tear and rounding clearly impacting the card's integrity. Edges: 2 / 10 Front: A major tear is present on the Top edge. The remaining edges show consistent chipping, fraying, and minor indentations throughout. Back: Significant wear and fraying are visible along all four borders, with the large tear on the top edge being the most prominent defect. Surface: 1 / 10 Front: The surface exhibits numerous creases and wrinkles, particularly in the upper portion and Bottom Right area. There is also noticeable scuffing across the image. Back: The back surface has been compromised by a blue ink '9' written in the center and a light pencil mark near the biographical text. General toning and the through-tear are also present.
