This vintage 1948 Bowman card is in Very Good condition. The grade is primarily determined by the significant rounding of all four corners and a surface crease on the front. Additionally, an ink mark on the front and heavy left-side centering are factored into the final assessment.
Centering: 6 / 10
The horizontal centering is heavily shifted to the left, while the vertical centering is moderately top-heavy.
Corners: 3 / 10
Front: All four corners exhibit significant rounding and visible whitening consistent with heavy handling. Back: The corners on the reverse side show moderate rounding and softening of the card stock.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: Notable chipping and fraying are present along all four edges, particularly evident on the right edge. Back: The edges show age-related wear and several small nicks along the physical cut.
Surface: 3 / 10
A diagonal surface crease is visible on the right half of the card, and a blue ink mark is present in the Bottom Left corner area.
