A DAVE WICKERSHAM from the 1963 TOPPS set, card #492. This is a great addition to any KANSAS CITY ATHLETICS collection.

The card is structurally excellent for a vintage 1963 issue, featuring relatively sharp corners and a clean surface. However, the final grade is severely limited by a significant manufacturing defect in the horizontal centering, where the design nearly touches the left edge.
Centering: 3 / 10
The front horizontal centering is significantly shifted, with the left border being almost entirely absent. Vertical alignment is nearly perfect.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The corners show light touches of wear, most notably a soft touch at the Top Right corner. The other corners remain relatively square. Back: The back corners show light fuzzing consistent with vintage card stock but remain intact.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The right edge shows minor chipping and light wear, while the physical cut edge on the left is sharp. Back: Minor chipping is visible along the top and right edges of the reverse side.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The surface is remarkably clean for the era, with only a few minor print specks in the background area. Back: The back is well-preserved with clear, legible text and no significant staining.
